Rollin' like a freight train

Since my motherboard died, I have been forced to use my work laptop to do most of my work. It has also been necessary to borrow my wife’s computer to try and get access to my hard drive. Thankfully both of our computers were identical, so booting from my hard drive on her computer will not result in driver / chipset issues. I feel like I am closer, but it takes a while. While I have been out of the PC repair game for some time, thankfully the concepts remain the same. Heck even the utilities are mostly the same, only updated to adapt to the new technologies. My biggest challenge was deciding if I wanted an LGA 1511 or LGA 2011 CPU. The LGA 2011 won out. So, here on Monday I should be ordering my new hardware (motherboard, RAM, CPU and CPU cooler, power supply, and SSD) from Amazon, and I should have them by Wednesday if all goes as planned. I have been getting the rest of the rebuild prepped in the meantime. I have pulled all the old hardware out of my case, it is now sitting on my workbench, sad and alone. Don’t worry little fella, you will have some new tenants soon.

At this time, it looks like I will be 3d printing until late next week with any luck, but I may start twitch streaming my prints live after that time. I will need to pick up a new camera, but I have a line on those already. Stay tuned.

Thank you everyone for your support, and thanks for stopping by.

Didn't I just do this?

It feels like I just did this yesterday. I guess that is what happens when you have a ton of things to do, but so little time to get them all finished. It all comes down to adjusting and overcoming though. This happens every year and I have learned there is no need to get 'freak out' when it seems like nothing is going to get finished. I know the busy season will slow down soon enough, however it will be peddle to the metal until then. I really don't have to much to say at this time except that I can not say thank you enough to everyone who have send me emails. I appreciate it and read and answer every one when time permits. Besides that I have to get going, but I will be back again next week to do more of the same.

Thank you everyone for your support, and thanks for stopping by.

Todo list hype

Seems like every year the same thing happens. We plan on what we are going to upgrade, what month we want to do the work, and then throw the plan out the damn window because there is always issues with supplies. It's either hardware availability or some kind of emergency that take focus off the tasks we want to accomplish. In the end it means we have to try and get all the unfinished work done before snow closes the mountain roads. With that said, if I don't respond to anyone fast enough it only because I am up to my eyeball with my 9 to 5 so please be patient with me.

A good amount of news this week with some good articles.

Thank you everyone for your support, and thanks for stopping by.

Thank you sir, may I have another?

Seems like the more I stay involved with 3d printing the more things I find I can use it for. I seem to be able to visualize and come up with designs easier and easier which I think is cool. Right now I am still working on new designs. I have a phone mount for our tread mill finished, and I am currently printing an updated design to a GoPro mount. I am also still learning Fusion 360. That is really all that has been going on, so not much more to report.

The lucky person prints are going out this week as well.

Thank you everyone for your support, and thanks for stopping by.
